What I did for this project:

I started out on this project as a level designer.  I put together several of the levels for the game.  Most of them did not survive into the final iteration of level layouts.  The one level I made that did survive, named “Platform Limbo”, is the personal favorite of Andrew Cambron, the project visionary.  It consists of a narrow passage with a deadly floor and ceiling.  The only way the player can cross it is by moving between inverse gravity zones and free-fall.

After taking a break from Platformer From Hell to work on Beyond Skyrim: A Quest, I later returned to become a QA programmer for this game.  I fixed the game’s chronic collision detection problems, and helped polish a variety of the game’s rough edges.  Thanks to these efforts, Platformer From Hell is now available on Xbox Live Indie Arcade!
